I'm currently in the midst of rewriting some of the story beats and characterizations for my oc project Feathers and Flowers!

This is of Evangeline, the girl who is a Witch in hiding. For those who need a refresher, "Witches" in this world is the term for a race of humans who hold moderate magical power. Given the history with Spirits and the legends of how Witches came to be in the first place (it is believed they are a product of a Spirit and Human coupling), Witches aren't really viewed favorably in some parts of the world and are outright shunned (or sometimes worse) in others. Where Eva comes from, it was... bad. But that's lore for another time! Back to the image at hand.

A witch is generally completely indistinguishable from humans most of the time. Their telling features are unique markings (all of which are different between individuals), pointed ears, and sharp (but small) fangs. It's been documented that- once upon a time- witches had the ability to shapeshift, but it appears that ability has been lost over time.

These features are actually relatively easy to hide, making it simple for most witches to simply live amongst humans secretly if need be. However it does require some level of control over their magic, and if the witch lacks that control they have no manual means of masking themselves. This is Evangeline's issue.

As for the design and color of her markings, while I'm not entirely sold on the shape of them, I did choose red to further bring out the blue in her eyes; Evangeline's most striking feature is meant to be her eyes. So ye! More experimentation is likely to happen so don't be too surprised if you see that in the future. xD
