Melon's Adventure: Part 9 (WIP)

As Melon crests the cliffs of Skelly Grove, he and Mario finally catch sight of their destination; a tiny little village just off the horizon, beyond the ocean. Melon is relieved they've finally made it, but also very sad that he will soon have to part with his young charge. But as he reflects on their long journey, he doesn't seem to hear Mario's growing panic, nor notices the ominous shadow that closes in against the sun...

Part 9 of Yoshi's Island: Melon's Adventure now sketched and ready to go! Home stretch now; I'm trying to get them all sketched out so I can complete the last few pages in batches, and so far it's working out I think! Only one more page left to sketch, but I think that one may be the most challenging one since there will be multiple characters and I'd like to have dynamic perspective in it as well.

As for this one, I'm working with the idea that it will be "leading" into the next illustration, so to speak. Starts with Melon in the foreground, but ends with him in the background in the next page. We'll see how it goes! ;w;
