Yoshi's Island: Melon's Adventure (Outline)

I took the opportunity today to outline the illustration bits of the story Melon's Adventure! It's the story that focuses on the yoshi named Melon and his journey to bring baby Mario home. :) I figured it'd be a good idea to have a basic outline to give me a rough idea of what I want happening in the illustrations I'm making for it, as well as a little starting point for when I go to type out the story blurb that comes with the art.

Given Melon's Adventure is basically they very start of the story in my Super Mario Au's events, it ended up getting much longer than initially anticipated and thus will be told in arcs. This is arc 1! As you can see, it's almost finished, so I plan on using my current free time to work on it. I'd like to have the next WIP of it out sometime this week, so keep your peepers peeled! Otherwise, feel free to take a lil gander at what's in store for our heroes below (as well as a quick-link to each of the already completed parts). uwu

Part 1: So a baby landed on my head

Part 3: Adventure we will go!

Part 4: Chomp Chomp Hills (OH SHIT!)

Part 5: Crystal Caves (OH SHIT A CLIFF)

Part 6: Nep-Enut Swamp (GIVE HIM BACK)

Part 7: Lakuta Lookout:

Mario and Melon successfully defeat the Lakutas and their leader, Hookbill the Horrible. Mario discovers the power of the Super Star fruit and can fly, but only temporarily. Somewhere in the image, there is red-faced critters hiding in the clouds watching them

Part 8: Sluggy's Snowdrift

Melon and Mario hunker down as a blizzard blows in during their trek through the mountaints. As they curl together and finally get a much deserved rest, outside their shelter are bandit mice spying on them

Part 9: Almost There...

Melon and Yoshi creste the mountains and can see the final stretch of their journey: Lava Falls. Beyond that sits the ocean with a clear shot to the human village Melon feels sad that he will be parting with the boy soon. But he doesn't know that his journey is only beginning.

Part 10: AMBUSH!

Melon is ambushed by a motley crew of pirates: Wart and the 8-Bits! Beaten and restrained, Melon is unable to save a wailing Mario as he's stolen away from him. Melon soon falls unconscious
