Flock of Friends (WIP)

Rough sketch of a doodle starring my baby Mal! She's just hangin' out with some birds, which is largely what she associates with in terms of her design; her updated Spirit design is largely inspired by owls, horses, and takes influence from No Face and The Forest Spirit from Ghibli films.

Anyhow, I'm trying to beat it into my head that sometimes, flat out art without the extra lore or flavor text isn't all that bad to do. It gets me drawing without having to agonize over the context of why because I don't have a why, it's just to be drawing. Which for some reason has become something I struggle with? It's likely because I focus so much on content content content that I've forgotten that art for art's sake is content. Like bringing a cake and accompanying cupcakes instead of just the cake.

But uh. Anyway, monologue done. Hope ya'll like the result thus far and keep your peepers open for the finished product. In the meantime, more to come soon, and thank you all so much for your support! I appreciate ya'll!! ;w;
