Krazy K. Rool (WIP)

Rough Sketch of the character design for the next Super Mario lore post: Kaptain K. Rool! This was actually a contestant for the SotM since a lot of folks requested him be drawn for it, but I figured I should just make him into a regular content post instead. :)

I love love love K. Rool's canon design; I love how utterly goofy he looks! I tried to keep that feel here, but instead of just plain goofy I tried to go with something more intimidating? Like, he's goofy-lookin', but there's clearly something off about him. I tried to especially incorporate that in his base character pose: I wanted him to look kinda like he doesn't even know how to stand without looking dead.

This is largely because I can picture K. Rool as someone who should be dead, but somehow managed to survive a whole bunch of shit that'd kill a lesser being.

I'm excited to finish this one! Keep your peepers open for the completed design! owo
