Reward setup (test 4)
Added 2021-07-20 16:49:08 +0000 UTCI apologize for all the tests ya'll and thank you so much for being so patient with me! I wanna make sure the patreon is being fair to everyone involved so I keep looking for your feedback ;w; Hopefully this one will be the last one; I received excellent ideas from the last test, ideas I was admittingly hesitant to try for some silly reason, but there's no real reason for me not to.
Shoutout to both Naja and Kyrit for the suggestions I received to help with this test!!
SO! Here's the tweaked setup for the rewards + some extra detail for explanation:
- Tier 1: ($1): Support Tier | Voting access and Early Access to WIPs and exclusive Patreon sketches/art | Monthly Character Q&As
- Tier 2: ($5): Early Access to completed content | Discord Access | Content request streams | Commission early reservation access
- Tier 3: ($10): Sketch of the Month | 5% off all commissions | Access to lower-tiered rewards
- Tier 4: ($20) 1-time Sketch icon reward (earned after 1 month of support)| 10% off all commissions | Access to lower-tiered rewards
- Tier 5: ($40): Art Reward (every 2 months) Speedpaint Icons, Halfbody sketches (flatcolored), Expression Sheet (3 expressions), Fullbody (rough sketch), "Little Adventurer" 1-off designs | 15% off all commissions | Access to lower-tiered rewards | 6 slots available
- Tier 6: ($60): Art Rewards available (every 2 months): Character Design (moodboard based), Expression page (6 expressions), Fullbody (flatcolor), 2-character comic page (sketched) | 20% off all commissions | Access to lower-tiered rewards | 4 slots available

OKAY! Quite a few changes this time around! Thanks to the suggestions I've received the last test round I ultimately decided to try something a little more geared toward actual content creation and not just offering commission rewards. Hence the addition of a possible new tier and a rework all of the tiers.
Tier 1 will no longer have early access to fully completed content, but given they have voting rights I still wanted them to have access to exclusive work I won't post anywhere but here. If I do post the exclusive content elsewhere all patreons will have at least a full month of access before I do. This tier also has access to participate in the Character Q&A sessions. Once a month I will open the floor for all supporters to ask a character of any fandom I'm active in a question. I will choose the question with the most likes to answer in the form of a sketch or short vignette!
Tier 2 was the trickiest! Thanks to the help I received I think I've found a fair ground for it! They will have access to all of my content earlier than anyone else; general content they'll have about 2 weeks to a month of early access before I post it anywhere else. They'll also have access to content request streams; I don't have a set schedule for these streams though since I figured a monthly deal would work better for a higher tier! Discord access comes with a slew of other benefits such as access to movie-nights, watch-a-thons, game nights, discussions and activities. I'm hoping to make it simple and... well, community oriented. owo Aaaand finally access to early reservations to my commissions.
Tier 3 I ultimately decided to remove the personal art reward for it. As much as I really wanted to do so, I think it's a smarter move to keep the $10 tier open for everyone and not limit it. So instead I substituted it for a Monthly dedicated sketch deal. The idea is to open an open question thing once a month and folks of this tier and up submit their ideas for content sketches they'd like to see. I'll work on as many of these as I can throughout the month and then throw all of the sketches into a poll where the entire patreon votes for the one they want to be the Sketch of the Month; that sketch will then be made into a full piece of art, color and all. All patrons will get to see the sketches and completed SotM, but only this tier will be allowed to come up with ideas for it! Each of the sketches will get a shoutout to the folks who suggest it as credit!
Tier 4 Will be my most basic art-reward tier offered here, and as such it will have no limit. If it proves to be too much though a limit will be imposed. The art in question is a simple sketch icon that is offered only once. You may receive your icon any time after 1 month of support; this way I will be able to take my time with them while prioritizing content and higher tiers :)
Tiers 5-6 are self-explanatory! With each higher end tier, they will have access to all of the tiers below it, including the selection of what type of art reward they want from lower art reward tiers. I'm considering adding one more reward tier in which is something of a Sponsor tier? Like on a monthly or bi-monthly basis I create art for whatever stories this particular supporter would like to see come to fruition. For example: if you have a DnD or original story you'd like to see in comic form, or artwork done for your own headcanons/ideas. I'd post the content outside of my patreon as a means to help promote your content as well.
It was a passing idea I just had as I worked with the tiers. If I do this tier it'd probably won't be a thing for a while yet and it'd also be the most expensive tier here (I'm talking $250+ monthly), but it'd also be limited to just one or 2 slots only. I dunno though, just a thought I had.
At any rate, lemme know what ya'll make of this setup; I'd very much appreciate the feedback! Any suggestions are of course welcome! ^.^

2021-07-20 20:55:37 +0000 UTCHeck yeah, I think this is a good lineup! I love that Naja's idea for the request stream was incorporated too. I think that'll be lots of fun to see what comes out of them and the changes for the tier 3 looks like something that's still very rewarding without having to restrict it or pile on a lot of extra work. I think it goes without saying you've got my interest in that potential extra big tier. XD But definitely all of this is a good starting point! Gotta put down the phone for now so I can get back to being navigator on the way home, but you know I'll be back if I come up with any ideas!
