Reward setup (test 2)
Added 2021-07-18 15:51:12 +0000 UTCSo a few comments previously mentioned that the $10 tier was missed which was a huge surprise for me, SO I figured I could do an alternative to see what ya'll thought of it?
- Tier 1 ($1): Support Tier | Early Access to WIPs, sketches, and art exclusive to Patreon
- Tier 2: ($5): Discord access | Voting access for future content | 5% off all commissions
- Tier 3: ($10): Art Reward (every 4 months) Expression doodle | Commission early reservation access | 10% off all commissions
- Tier 4: ($35): Art rewards (every 2 months) available: Icons, Chibis, fullbody sketches, "Little Adventurer" 1-off designs, Expression sheet (4 expressions) | 20% off all commissions | 5 slots available
- Tier 5: ($50): Art Rewards available (every 2 months): Character Island, Character roughout, Character Design (moodboard based), 1 comic page (sketched) | 30% off all commissions | 5 slots available
All I did was drop the "$15" tier to "$10", but in turn I've doubled the amount of time it'd take for the reward to fully come into fruition. 4 months is to keep it mostly in line with the 2-month model I'd like to work with. I've also bumped the expensive tier up to one more, but this also means that instead of 15 art rewards for priority it'll instead be 10 art rewards that'll have priority.
I'm probably gonna place a limit on the $10 tier too just to make sure I can actually deliver the rewards on time; the more support I manage to get for my Patreon, the more slots will be made available for each reward tier since that's less time I'd have to focus on commissions. ALSO! To give you an example of a doodled expression for the $10 tier:

They took me about 6-10 minutes a pop, so they'll be simplistic, rough, and quick to work with.
And FINALLY I must ask: what are ya'lls thoughts on art reward raffles??? It was an idea I had for the $5 tier so they could also have a chance at an art reward without me like, overwhelming myself, but I dunno! What do ya'll think? O:

Seriously tempted by Tier 5, just need to make sure I have the funds and then make sure I get a slot xD

2021-07-19 14:30:11 +0000 UTCI think I might try to snap up a tier 4 slot once I get my new job after moving!

2021-07-19 02:37:34 +0000 UTCI like the raffle idea... it gives people a chance who couldn't snag a higher tier or can't afford a full commission to get in on the action, too.

2021-07-18 22:27:39 +0000 UTCI might have to try to snatch a tier 4 slot but I have a suspicion that those will be sniped rather fast. Oh well, I understand why you limit the slots. It definitely is more healthy to do less commissions

2021-07-18 20:32:44 +0000 UTCThe "Little Adventurer" 1-off design is brand spankin new. It hasn't debuted anywhere else and as a tldr of what it is: you have the option of making your pet an adventurer of your choice based on a moodboard you'll provide and a specific class you want them to be. If not a pet, then you can use any animal for the design, but that's the only catch: it HAS to be an animal, fantasy or irl based, but no humans/humanoids are currently accepted for that design type. owo

2021-07-18 17:58:00 +0000 UTCOhhhh, that's a good point (re: raffles). Just checked and there's actually a FAQ entry about that that confirms your experience: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/204199489-Can-I-offer-a-raffle-as-part-of-a-benefit- Sucks, but good on you for catching it early.

2021-07-18 17:30:08 +0000 UTCHappy to see the $10 tier back in action, I feel/hope that might entice people. I might have to throw money at the 35/50 tiers, though, assuming that The (Other) Usual Suspects don't snipe me there. XD Question, though - what's the Little Adventurer? Is that like that one tier from the Minis? You have covered a massive spectrum with your commissions over the months/years, it's hard to keep track what's new and what we've seen before. Also, I love Ash's expression there. Seems like "I can't punch the stupid out of you, but I can certainly TRY." (Also also, Patreon comment boxes require you to Shift+Enter to get a newline while plain Enter posts/saves, argh. XD)

2021-07-18 17:18:06 +0000 UTCI think the art raffle is a good idea BUT I think you need to look into the rules here on Patreon that may surround that first. I remember I subscribed to another Creator here on Patreon at some point who did Art Raffles every month, but she told she had to take them down because Patreon did not want that. I think they related it to online gambling or something alike to that?? It was a couple years ago, so I'm fuzzy on the details. I just know she was forced to remove the Art Raffles from her Patreon Tier options. Just for yourself, I do think it's a very good idea to also place a limit on the 10$ Tier. You could risk A LOT of people pledging to it, especially because those expression doodles are so hecking cute omg, so it could get overwhelming. A question then to all the Tiers with art rewards: Will there be versions of those Tiers WITHOUT the Art Rewards? Or at least a version of that for the 10$ Tier? So like, still get early commission reservation access and still a bit percentage off in commissions? I'm currently on the 10$ Tier and I usually have the luck of never catching tiers with art rewards when pledging to people (And I fully believe that will happen again because my luck on that sUCKS :D), but I'd still like to stay in the 10$ Tier without having access to the art reward.

2021-07-18 17:12:23 +0000 UTCI am π at that $50 tier hope I can snag one of those slots when you open em up :3
2021-07-18 16:36:14 +0000 UTCI feel like itβs a great way to give just a bit more incentive to those lower tiers/give people without bigger monthly budgets to have a chance at getting something fun
2021-07-18 16:19:59 +0000 UTCHECK YES ON THE ART RAFFLES
2021-07-18 16:19:07 +0000 UTCBARKEEP. I think the change of the $15 --> $10 looks good, and those little doodles are absolutely adorable! Having an art raffle for the $5 tier sounds like a great way to draw in people. Discount on comms, voting, and discord access are great, but the raffle would be a nice little touch! Could vary what the raffle prize is from time to time depending on what you're feeling up to as well/spice it up. Especially if you do end up getting a lot of people wanting in on the $10 tier and end up needing to limit it. Then they'd be able to still have a chance!

2021-07-18 16:02:14 +0000 UTCI feel like having an art raffle for the $5 tier is a great idea - like you said, it gives those in the tier a fair chance at still getting an art reward without overworking you! Especially since the other tiers will be limited, in case there are people in the $5 tier who want rewards but are unable to snag a spot (or alternatively if there are people who's highest option financially is $5 or something) :3

2021-07-18 15:59:18 +0000 UTCAn art raffle is essentially a giveaway far as I know. Whomever wants to participate submits their name to the "hat", and I'll randomly draw from the hat to choose the one who'll receive the free art (I'd use an automated "hat" so its entirely random for me as well). Whomever gets chosen once will have to wait a certain amount of time afterward so any other raffles held will give everyone else an equal chance at being chosen before they can participate again.

2021-07-18 15:57:04 +0000 UTCWhat do you mean by art raffles? I'm kinda dumb right now <.>
