The Kongs (Concept art)
Added 2021-05-21 22:54:14 +0000 UTCFINALLY. It took me most of today and yesterday to get to this point but thanks to the feedback I received from ya'll, I've reached a design point that I'm fully pleased with!
What ultimately helped was pinpointing the overall theme for Candy's design, which I eventually landed on 80s workout fashion (I used Jane Fonda as a primary point of inspiration) and it just kinda worked out from there. I finally found a middle-ground between her OG design and a redesign and I really like the look :) The only thing I gotta decide now is whether or not DK will wear pants on a consistent basis! It surprised the hell outta me that folks actually preferred him in pants in contrast to his OG design O:
At any rate, I included all of the sketches and color concepts I did for them both so you can see the process! Thank you all so much for your help!! I now have somethin' to work with when I explore the Kongs in the au owo
