Melon's Adventure: Adventure We Will Go! (p3)

Melon slows his gallop to a halt once he reached the break through the trees; this cliffside was one of his favorite spots to go to get a good look at the island, and now it served its purpose once more. He could see just about all the island had to offer from here, from the grassy plains to the dense jungles, even as far as the snow covered mountains and burning volcano pits.

It's been a while since the last time he toured the entirety of the island, and Melon felt excitement put a wag to his tail. Baby Mario cooed as he suckled on the bottle the yoshi had given him for breakfast, and with a quick glance Melon was satisfied to see him still snuggly and secure.

Melon huffed and trotted in place, grinning when he heard Mario giggle at the movement: off to adventure!

Part 3 of the Yoshi's Adventure! miniseries! :3 Melon is optimistic about the journey ahead and can't help but feel a little excited; it's been a while since the last time he's had an adventure like this one!

This one was actually a little more challenging than the last two since I didn't really have a clear idea of what I wanted for the BG, but I rewatched some gameplay of the game and figured something similar to how the Island shows up on the title screen could work. Turned out to work out pretty okay, especially since I just winged it entirely instead of any preplanning like I usually do for my BGs. I really like the end result! :3

I share Melon's excitement ngl, the next few pieces are gonna be super fun since they're more action-oriented! :)
