The Rito (WIP)

Sorry for the wait for this one ya'll! I managed to carve out some time today to at least start the next headcanon post for the Hyrule races, this time of the Rito! owo I went ahead and got Medli done today and plan on getting Teba and Revali done this weekend. I might add Kass in there but I think I'll just leave it at these three O:

I think the hardest part of these redesigns is changing their outfits without straying too far from their OG designs. I could just draw them in their original costumes but I really want their outfits and overall look to be fresh without being unrecognizable. owo

For Teba I'm going for heavier armor and an overall heavier build than he is in game, to make him look more an old warrior. In this timeline/au he's the one who's chosen to be the Champion of the Rito, not Revali, something the younger rito is livid about.

Speaking of, Revali has been given the same light armor but with a different style than his og outfit; I game him a sort of "cape" of feathers and will add necessities he straps to his belt.

And finally, Medli! Since she never showed up in BotW I wanted to bring her in for this Au, regardless of how large or small her role turns out to be. As for her outfit, since the Rito seem to wear pants for the most part outside of kilts, I just gave her a jumpsuit of sorts. The additional sketch of her you see after the blob designs of the boys is the original one I did about a year ago. For the new one I tried to get closer to the original feel and look of her WW design, which kinda made her feel more like a cute duck. I like the result! owo
