A side-by-side comparison to the initial sketch and the finished product! I've been asked several times in the past if I stopped drawing traditionally in favor of digital and the answer is always no: I still draw traditionally. A lot actually, I just don't post them anymore. That's mostly because I keep them very rough, gestural sketches like what's seen on the left.
My ideas for almost every drawing I do is usually sketched out very loose and rough traditionally without much care for anatomy and all that stuff; my goal here is to just get the general idea and basics of the outta the way, such as emotion conveyed, posing, composition (especially if its complicated composition). After that I either use it as a reference or use it as a base for me to sketch digitally over with corrections before I move on to coloring. owo
I personally love seeing the process of how a piece of art is created and I figured I could start sharing my own process on here too! I think I'll post a couple to gauge ya'lls interest in it and, if ya'll don't mind me posting them, I'll continue to do so! :3 Feel free to ask anything about the my process or perhaps even suggestions for future process posts you'd like to see. uwu
