Old Hyrule bridge: color study

So I feel really rusty when it comes to BGs and, because I really wanna do some pseudo concept art for my LoZ headcanons (now titled LoZ: New Mythos) and just more BG work in general, I figured color studies would be one good way to slowly get back into the swing of it. This color test thingy is for an idea I had for the bridge connecting to the entrance of Old Hyrule: the land that Link traversed in BotW. It's been cut off and segmented away from the rest of the world by both sea and by a magic barrier, effectively making it inaccessible by normal means.

But there's a tiny island surrounded by the carcasses of the many ships that have failed to make the voyage to the old lands safely, with a weird stone-made structure with two pillars in its center: this island sits right before Old Hyrule and acts as the final gateway. I like the idea that it has a magic-based bridge that only activates if the visitor has a specific key of sorts.

I definitely need to work on the design more but the colors themselves, I'm pretty happy with. <:

There would: a key. Not shown here since I worked mostly with the colors than actual design, but whomever wants to enter Old Hyrule has to sail by boat, and that's just to reach the "gateway" island. Once you reach said island without somehow crashing or sinking your ship, you need the actual key to activate the bridge: the bridge itself isn't present unless manually activated. o3o

Reminds me of the bridge to the other world from Coco, I wonder if there would be any requirements for a person to access the bridge.
