GOT 4X1 Two Swords UNCUT REACTION

Comments

Hooray, I've finally made it. Ugh, after I edit the red wedding reaction, I don't know if i’ll ever watch that part of the episode again. Oh I didn't even notice the family themes when i watched but that's so sinister that they did that! You're right it is a haunting scene. It really feels like Catelyn and Robbs death is a huge pivotal moment in the show now. Yes i’m not sure what to think of Oberyn yet but he definitely is an exciting character! No way the cgi gets better! I honestly have no expectations for HOTD so i’ll be blown away no matter what. Ooh that depiction of Daario looks so cool! Darn i was hoping you'd have an explanation for why they switched the actor lol. Yay I’m glad i was right about that. I love that GOT keeps side characters with few lines around for continuity. Ahh thats why Arya was so wooden there! Omg you're right that is an interesting parallel. Needle is truly the stark family sword now. Sadly It's not made of valyrian steel though I believe.

Welcome back! You are certainly what the fandom would qualify as a man of winter now, especially by book standards. There is only one show-exclusive episode that I cannot watch to this day and you have not gotten there yet, but barring that one episode you are over the hump. The red wedding is certainly one of the most upsetting things in this show. Whoa wait it's been a long time since I watched the lore and histories for season 3 did they really bring up the Azor Ahai prophecy??? Because that's like a SUPER important plot point in the books, but I thought I remembered them never bringing it up in the show. Interesting! This season has probably my favourite intro sequence in the whole show, the way they melt down Ned's family sword into Joffrey & Jamie's new swords, marking the end of an era, while playing the Stark theme music, blending into the Lannister theme, transitioning SEAMLESSLY into the show intro song gives me chills every single time I see it. It's heart wrenching and powerful without a single line of dialogue. This is the kind of stuff that feeds me. Speaking of things I love the showrunners for doing, omg whoever cast Pedro Pascal as Price Oberyn deserves several awards and 10,000 dollars. Oberyn and Tywin are like, so perfectly cast I could not think of a better fit if my life depended on it. Oh man if you love the CGI now I cannot WAIT for you to get to House of the Dragon, the dragons look SO FREAKING COOL in HotD The Daario recast threw a lot of people off, I think his first actor caught his essence better but this guy is fine. Here's an idea of what he looks like in the books if you're curious it's a bit too flamboyant for HBO I guess, be tends to dye his hair a lot of bright colours https://awoiaf.westeros.org/images/e/ea/Borja_Pindado_daario.jpg OH MY GOD SPUTNIK You're the FIRST reactor I've seen who recognised the chick Shae threatened with a knife! Good eye!!! Speaking of Ser Duncan the Tall of the kingsguard, George has written a handful of novellas about him, he's one of my very favourite characters in this universe. Apparently soon we're getting a prequel spinoff about him and I am SO EXCITED Arya in the last scene is going through a bit of an emotional crisis, because part of her really wants the hound to die, but part of her doesn't. They have a really great dynamic it's one of my favourites in the series. Love how we start the episode with a Stark sword being lost to the world, and ending it with a Stark sword coming back to its rightful owner. Gotta say this is one of my fav episodes.
