I could see though how you might find it a bit challenging to create backstories and plots and sex scenes for a large cast of characters. I agree with those who said you could do short stories with some of the side characters. I love a good community pack short story. If we’re talking about the size of the night owl cast then I personally like the current size of the cast and the different stories. If it were up to me I’d maybe move the Jax storyline to shorts/ side stories given a lot of the main cast currently live together or maybe make some of Aaron’s antics at his new job into shorts? If we’re talking about your other contending story I haven’t fully gotten into it yet but I think it’s going good so far but the same principle could apply in my opinion. Whatever plotlines that aren’t tied to the main story could be moved to shorts or side stories and referenced through out the main?
