“No! No, I can’t—this isn’t—HELP!”
[She tries to cast, but the magic fizzles as the creature’s digestive fluids begin seeping in.]
“Oh gods—no, no, I don’t want to—”
[Her words choke off into a gurgled cry as the monster fully engulfs her, the last traces of her form vanishing into the writhing mass.]
[Silence falls. The dungeon remains eerily still, save for the occasional wet squelch as the creature shifts, settling into its meal.]
[Then, after a long pause… a single, satisfied burp.]
[The fire crackles, the pot still bubbling softly over the flames as if nothing had ever happened.]
