Ending 1: Marcille Escapes
[Marcille frantically struggles, her breathing ragged.]
“No, no, NO! I am NOT going to be digested! Not today!”
[She forces her arms forward, magic crackling wildly.]
“I don’t care if I burn my way out, freeze my way out, or EXPLODE my way out—SOMETHING is taking this thing down with me!”
[She chants hurriedly, energy building, light growing within the beast’s belly.]
“Fros veritas—LUMEN FRA!”
[A sudden burst of light and ice explodes outward. The creature SCREECHES, its insides spasming violently.]
[Marcille is violently expelled, landing on the stone floor in a disgusting, slimy heap.]
“GAAAH—ugh, oh gods, this is worse than that time with the slime mold.”
[She shakily stands, her robes drenched in monster gunk. The creature writhes, its form rapidly freezing over before shattering into chunks.]
[Marcille breathes heavily, exhausted but victorious.]
“…Okay. New rule. No more eating monsters. EVER.”
[She groans, wiping at her face.]
“I need a bath. A really long, scalding bath.”
[She sighs, muttering as she stumbles off into the darkness of the dungeon.]
“…Stupid Laios and his stupid monster cuisine…”
