Added 2018-12-13 03:28:17 +0000 UTCA week ago I was retrenched with 60 others, I'm ok, just disappointed, and embarrassed I guess. I have leads for new jobs, hoping I won't have to move again. But that's not what I'm here to discuss.
I have to try to make more money for a while, so I'm going to add content of a kind that seems to bring in more money for some other artists... I personally don't particularly mind this style or subject, but I know some do. If so, sorry. It's just that I see other guys with ten thousand patrons and being able to pay all their bills with no need for a job, and I'm thinking "I could do that too".
This is WIP, not even sure I'm actually hitting the style yet but I'll keep trying. There'll be a non-nude version for those who only support me to learn, and then there will be the very adult and very explicit version that seems to make more money. This is actually what I vaguely set out to do when I started, but then my need grew less and I started exploring more. I'll try to not stop doing that.
btw: this is actually based off my very first Patreon reward 4 years ago, which I also started because of retrenchment. We've come full circle.

Exactly, let me know how it goes, maybe we can share knowledge among the group, maybe it can help others too. :) Yeah personally I'm not too concerned about using my own name, for several reasons: 1. I already probably most likely have a reputation as a somewhat lewd guy :) 2. the really explicit stuff will stay hidden longer in today's climate of puritanism, with every website getting paranoid about what they show to who. 3. maybe I haven't thought it through very carefully lol... cross my fingers hope I won't regret this later :D

I do CG art myself, but it's just a hobby and I don't depend on it to make ends meet. But I've thought several times about doing some CG erotic stuff to make some extra cash. I always struggle with the idea though. I don't mind it at all, and I'll even happily upgrade my tier to see the uncensored version, but I dunno. I guess it's because I work in IT, and I get afraid of potential new employers searching my name on the internet and seeing pornographic content attached to my name. I also get bothered seeing some dudes that aren't even that good making upwards of 2000 dollars a month with crappy art. Maybe I just have to create a separate name and try it out and see what happens. Anyway, good luck again :)

I can post more often too, I've been avoiding it because other Patreons I know posts so often I get annoyed lol Maybe not watermarks but small logos with the link to here. Watermarks do nothing to stop people from ripping it. :) Not sure about anime characters, I find those faces very tricky, but I'll try.

2018-12-13 09:56:16 +0000 UTCYeah, Sakimi chan posts characters from anime's I've never heard of, that seem so obscure that it's difficult to even google them xD But when I was looking into how DeviantArt decides to organize top trending/ hot, etc, it sounded like a lot of artists on there will look into what is trending, and do the same thing, which explains when one thing trends on there, it starts snow balling (and why I see so much 'my little pony', undertale, and very oddly proportioned women [that I would think would be super niche- like giant women eating guys, women with stomachs 2x their height O.o], etc).
