今日のデートは、セール中の百貨店だった。デートとはいっても、彼女の荷物持ちをさせられるために呼び出されたようなものだ。激混みで女性ばかりの売り場、身を縮めてひっそりと彼女の後をついていくが、あまりに歩くのが速く、しょっちゅう置いていかれそうになる。

「ちゃんとついてきて」

振り返った彼女の無慈悲な表情は圧が強烈で、むっとしながらも言い返せない。こんな思いまでして従順に付き合っているのだから、後でしっかり報酬を強請らなければ――。

2.寡黙な彼女

わざわざ遠く離れた都会の大学に進学したのに、結局、就職で地元へ戻ってきた。こんな何もない田舎はもうコリゴリだと思っていたはずなのに、いざ離れてみると、なぜだか恋しくなってしまった。確かに何もないのは事実だが、それが妙に心を落ち着かせる。

戻って間もなく、高校時代の同級生と道端で再会し、それをきっかけに交流を深め、やがて付き合うことになった。今も昔も寡黙で、いまいち何を考えているのか分からない。だが、そんな彼女がふと見せる明確な好意が、どうしようもなく可愛らしい。彼女と再び出会い、交際できたというだけで、地元に戻ってきて良かったと思える。

あとは、強すぎる性欲さえ少し落ち着いてくれれば、言うことはないのだが――。

2. The Quiet Girlfriend

Despite purposely going to a university far away in the city, I ended up returning to my hometown for work. I thought I was completely done with this empty countryside, but once I left, I somehow found myself missing it. It's true there's nothing here, but that somehow brings a strange sense of peace.
