1.「今連絡しようか悩んでたとこ」

妻に「今から帰る」と連絡してから、もう随分と経ってしまった。前方で交通事故があったらしく、渋滞に巻き込まれたのだ。本来なら遅れると追伸すべきだったが、まったく進まぬ車列に苛立つばかりで、すっかり忘れていた。

「ごめん、遅くなった。渋滞に巻き込まれちゃって……」

「今、連絡しようか悩んでたとこ。何かあったんじゃなくて良かった」

ソファに腰掛け、スマホをタップしていた妻は、俺の顔を見て安心したのか、ほっと息をつき、机に肘をついた。どうやらかなり心配をかけてしまったらしい。

結婚して三年。仕事が忙しく、ろくに構ってやれないのに、文句も言わず支えてくれる妻には頭が上がらない。だが、それに甘えてばかりではあまりに情けない。今日は疲れた身体に鞭を打ってでも、妻に尽くそうと決めた。

2.「・・・わざとなわけないでしょ」

朝のランニングから帰ると、偶然同じアパートに住んでいる大学の先輩と出くわした。いつも眠そうな顔をしている人だが、この時間帯はさらに輪をかけて眠そうだ。

なんとなく違和感を覚えて、じっと彼女の全身を見渡すと、シャツのボタンが外れて胸の谷間がはっきりと覗いていた。

「先輩……それ、わざとですか？ちょっと刺激が強すぎます」

気まずくならないようにおどけてみたが、実際にはかなりエロい姿で、思わず勃起してしまう。ランニング用の薄いボトムだから、隠すのにも一苦労だ。

「……わざとなわけないでしょ」

3.ネクタイが見つからないと思ったら・・・

寝坊したうえに、なぜかネクタイが見つからない。このままでは遅刻だと慌てていると、視線を感じた。振り返ると、勝手に遊びに来て数日間居座っている義理の妹が、にやにやしながら俺を見上げている。

「……何だ？」

「探し物はこれ？」

彼女は頭を預けていたクッションに手を入れ、俺のネクタイを取り出した。

「……」

五年前に父と再婚した義母の娘で、お互い思春期の難しい時期だった割に仲の良い兄妹になれたと思う。いや、少し仲が良すぎた。妹は何かと俺に甘えてばかりで、就職して実家を出た俺の家に頻繁に泊まりに来ては、好き放題に過ごしている。今回は特に忙しく、ろくに構ってやれなかったこともあって、こんないたずらを仕掛けてきたのだろう。

顔も身体も好みの義妹ができて、性欲を抑えるのに散々苦労してきた俺の気持ちなどつゆ知らず、無防備に身体を寄せてきたり、今回のように洒落にならない悪戯をしてくる妹には心底困り果てていた。ここらで強く叱らなければ、さらに悪化しかねない。たとえ遅刻が確定しても、今日こそは分からせてやる必要がある。

1. "I was just debating whether to call you"

It had been quite a while since I messaged my wife saying "I'm coming home now." There seemed to be a traffic accident ahead, and I was caught in the resulting jam. I should have sent a follow-up about being late, but I was so frustrated with the completely stalled line of cars that I completely forgot.
