1.「なんでシングルなんですか・・・？」

最近親しくなった職場の先輩と、互いに好きなバンドのライブに行くことになった。前日に現地入りしてホテルに一泊する計画だ。せっかくの機会なので先輩ともっと親しくなりたいと考えた俺は、二人で一室に泊まるほうが格段に安いプランがあることや、ベッドは別々だと説明して説得し、なんとか同室に泊まる許可を得た。しかし、部屋に着いてみると、そこにはシングルベッドが一つだけ。先輩は俺が職場で大きなミスをしたとき以上の怖い顔で振り返った。

「なんでシングルなんですか…？」

「…ちょっと待ってください。」

急いでスマホの予約アプリを開いて確認すると、確かにシングルベッドの部屋を予約していた。先輩に同室の許可をもらったことに浮かれて、確認を怠ったせいで間違えたらしい。とんでもないミスをしてしまった…。

2.「こっちに来ないの？」

最近、仲の良い同級生と遊んでいたが、猛暑で耐えきれず、どこかで涼もうということになった。その場の勢いで、近くにあったラブホテルに行くことになった。彼女は色気のある雰囲気を持ちながらも、男友達と過ごすような気楽さで一緒にいられる貴重な友人だ。この雰囲気と人懐っこい性格から、誰とでも関係を持つ軽い女だという噂が立っていたが、それは彼女の人気に嫉妬した誰かが流した悪意のあるデマに違いない。部屋に入ると、彼女はまっすぐにベッドへ向かい、勢いよくダイブした。しばらく足をバタバタさせてから起き上がり、上着を脱いだ。汗で少し湿った、光沢のある胸元が目に飛び込んでくる。いつも以上に色っぽい姿に、思わず気圧されてベッドのそばで立ち尽くしていると、彼女が不思議そうな顔で言った。

「こっちに来ないの？」

3.バイト先の先輩

今日、店はいつもより客が少なく、営業時間が終わって明日の準備を終えた後も、ほとんど疲れを感じなかった。店長は不機嫌そうな顔でさっさと帰ってしまい、俺とバイトの先輩だけが店に残った。

「二人きりだねぇ」

照れたような表情で、冗談めかした口調で言う先輩が、どこか妙に可愛く見えた。静まり返った店内で二人きり。この状況はまずい。余計なことを口走ってしまう前に、さっさと帰ろう。

1. "Why is it a single bed...?"

I was going to a concert of a band we both like with a senior colleague I'd recently become close with. The plan was to arrive at the venue a day early and stay overnight at a hotel. Thinking this was a great opportunity to get closer to my senior, I convinced them that it would be much cheaper if we shared a room, explaining that there would be separate beds. Somehow, I managed to get permission to stay in the same room. However, when we arrived, there was only one single bed. My senior turned around with a scarier face than when I made a huge mistake at work.

"Why is it a single bed...?"

I quickly opened the reservation app on my smartphone to check, and indeed, I had booked a room with a single bed. I must have made a mistake because I was so excited about getting permission to share a room that I neglected to check properly. I've made a terrible mistake.

In the heat of the moment, we ended up going to a love hotel nearby. She has a sensual aura about her, yet she's a precious friend with whom I can relax as if spending time with a male friend. Because of this atmosphere and her friendly personality, rumors spread that she was promiscuous, but that must be malicious gossip spread by someone jealous of her popularity. Upon entering the room, she headed straight for the bed and dove onto it energetically. After kicking her legs around for a while, she got up and took off her jacket. Her slightly damp, glossy chest caught my eye. Overwhelmed by her unusually seductive appearance, I found myself frozen beside the bed when she asked with a puzzled expression.

"Aren't you coming over here?"

3. Part-time Job Senior

Today, the store had fewer customers than usual, and even after closing time and finishing preparations for tomorrow, I hardly felt tired. The manager left quickly with a grumpy face, leaving just me and my senior colleague at the store.

"It's just the two of us now, huh?"

My senior, speaking with a joking tone and a somewhat embarrassed expression, suddenly looked strangely cute to me. Just the two of us in the quiet store. This situation is dangerous. I should leave quickly before I say something unnecessary.
