1枚目:「ちょっと寝るけど・・・なんもしないでね」

「ちょっと寝るけど・・・なんもしないでね」

1週間前に大学の女先輩の部屋に誘われて以来、落ち着かない日々が続いていた。先輩は一見ギャルで近寄りがたい雰囲気なのに、実際に話してみるとのんびりとした優しい人柄で、気になる存在になるまでそう時間はかからなかった。今日のために美容院に行き、新しい服まで買って意気込んでいたというのに、部屋に入って軽い雑談を交わしたとたん、こんな展開になるとは。

「いや……なんで寝るんですか」

「急にあったかくなったからずっと眠くて……花粉症もあるし……」

ぼんやりとした、でもどこか違和感のある表情で先輩は言う。というか、先輩が鼻をすすったり、くしゃみをしている姿を見たことがない。

「じゃおやすみ……適当に起こして」

彼女は本当に目を閉じてしまった。

……これはもしかして試されているのか？

2枚目:垂れてますよ先輩

仕事が一段落ついたので、人気のない準備室でこっそり休むことにした。いつも誰も来ないため、まったりと休憩できる秘密のお気に入りの場所なのだ。

扉を開けて飛び込んできたのは、家の中でさえ躊躇するようなだらしない格好でアイスを食べる、普段は真面目な先輩の姿だった。

「……」

お互い目を合わせたままフリーズする。数秒間そのままで、先輩が食べているアイスが胸に垂れた。

「垂れてますよ、先輩」

ふと我に返り、アイスで汚れる谷間から目を逸らしながら伝える。

「ああ……うん……」

先輩はたいして気にしない様子で、アイスの残りを食べきった。ダウナーな雰囲気とアイスを勢いよく咥える仕草は、何か見てはいけないもののような気がした。

「先輩もここ使ってたんですね……とりあえず今日は譲りますよ」

気まずい空気から早く逃げ出したくて背を向けると、先輩に呼び止められた。

「待って……はぁ……」

先輩は心底面倒そうな顔をしながら、こちらを見て手を招く。

「なんですか？」

「いいから……ちょっと来て」

いったい何なのだろう……理由もわからず先輩の前に立った。

3枚目:「5●キロ!?!?!?」

「私ダイエットするから。期限は2週間。もし守れなかったら何でもしていいよ」

特に太っているわけでもない彼女が、突然そう言い出したのは2週間前のことだった。自分なりに許せない体重になってしまったらしい。

「俺は心底どうでもいいけど……何してもいいのは面白いし応援するよ」

どちらかというとぽっちゃりな子が好きだから、むしろもう少し太ってほしいくらいだが、余計なことを言うとめんどくさそうなのでやめた。

「何？その冷めた感じ……絶対守れないって思ってるでしょ！」

勘違いして怒る彼女を軽く流して、その日はそこで解散となった。

あっという間に2週間が過ぎた。その間も何度か会っていたが、ダイエットについて特に話題に出ることはなかった。忘れているならそれでもいいと思っていたが、どうも彼女の様子がおかしい。

「なんかあったの？」

彼女は青ざめながら深刻そうに答える。

「今朝体重はかったら1キロ増えてて……2週間ちゃんとダイエットしたのに……なんで……」

半分魂が抜けたような顔で目が泳ぐ彼女。きっと筋トレをしすぎて筋肉が付いただけのことだろう。

どうでもいいと思っていた約束だったが、この世の終わりのような様子の彼女を見ていたら楽しくなってきてしまった。

「じゃあ約束どおり罰ゲームだね」

彼女が更に青ざめる。

「罰ゲームって……何してもいいって言っただけで……」

「それは罰ゲームと同じだよね？」

彼女は何も言えず黙り込んでしまった。

「今日の夜実施で。ちょっと俺は買い出しに行ってくるから、心の準備でもしておいて」

「え！？なに！？なにするつもり？ねぇ！！」

動揺する彼女をあえて無視して玄関を出た。早速あれを買いに行かなければ

Ever since being invited to my female senior's apartment a week ago, I'd been feeling restless. Though she seemed like an unapproachable gyaru at first glance, when I actually talked to her, she turned out to be a gentle, easy-going person, and it didn't take long for her to become someone special to me. I'd even gone to the salon and bought new clothes for today, but right after entering her room and having some light conversation, things took this unexpected turn.

"Wait... why are you going to sleep?"

"I've been sleepy since it suddenly got warm... and I have allergies too..."

My senior spoke with a dreamy, yet somehow off expression. Come to think of it, I'd never seen her sniffling or sneezing before.

"Well then, good night... wake me up whenever."

She really did close her eyes.

Having finished my work, I decided to take a break in the empty prep room. It was my secret favorite spot since no one ever came here, perfect for relaxing quietly.

When I opened the door, I found my usually serious senior eating ice cream in a casual way that one would hesitate to do even at home.

"..." "..."

We both froze, maintaining eye contact. After a few seconds of this, the ice cream she was eating dripped onto her chest.

"Your ice cream is dripping, Senpai"

Coming back to my senses, I told her while averting my eyes from her ice cream-stained cleavage.

"Ah... yeah..."

My senior didn't seem particularly bothered as she finished the rest of her ice cream. Her downcast mood and the way she eagerly ate the ice cream felt like something I shouldn't be watching.

"So you use this place too, Senpai... I'll leave it to you today."

As I turned around, wanting to escape the awkward atmosphere, my senior stopped me.

"Wait... sigh..."

With an utterly exasperated expression, my senior looked at me and beckoned.

"What is it?"

"Just... come here for a second"

What could it be... I stood in front of my senior without knowing why.

"I'm going on a diet. Two weeks deadline. If I fail, you can do whatever you want."

She suddenly declared this two weeks ago, even though she wasn't particularly overweight. Apparently, she had reached a weight she personally couldn't accept.

"I honestly couldn't care less... but the 'whatever you want' part sounds interesting, so I'll support you."

I actually prefer curvier girls, so if anything, I'd rather she gained a bit more weight, but I kept that to myself since it seemed like it would be troublesome to mention.

"What's with that cold attitude... you think I can't do it, don't you!"

I brushed off her misunderstanding and anger, and we parted ways for the day.

Two weeks flew by. We met several times during that period, but the diet never came up in conversation. I thought it was fine if she'd forgotten about it, but something seemed off about her.

"Did something happen?"

She answered with a pale face and serious expression.

"I weighed myself this morning and gained a kilo... even though I properly dieted for two weeks... why..."

Her eyes darted around with a half-dead expression. She probably just gained muscle from overdoing the exercise.

Though I hadn't cared much about the promise, seeing her act like it was the end of the world started to amuse me.

"Well then, time for the penalty game as promised."

She turned even paler.

"Penalty game... I only said you could do whatever you want..."

"Isn't that the same thing as a penalty game?"

She fell silent, unable to say anything.

"We'll do it tonight. I'm going shopping now, so prepare yourself mentally."

"Huh!? What!? What are you planning to do? Hey!!"
