Waiting for Daydreams
Added 2015-09-10 21:48:46 +0000 UTCA painting I recently finished in a sort-of response to Fishing For Nightmares. Celestia's painting was originally gonna be offered at Bronycon alongside Luna, but I didn't finish the painting in time, unfortunately. That's okay though; I'll just sell here next year's Bronycon. :3
But yeah! The same theme applies but only slightly different; instead of Celly fishing for daydreams, she simply waits for them. Daydreams are often associated with pleasant thoughts and almost fantastical fantasy so I figured the image in general should be far more warm and hopefully seem inviting, since a lot of kids (including myself) was often scolded in class for being a "daydreamer". PSH. Not our fault our imaginations are awesome. :/
Joking aside, this was a load of fun to work on; I love working with warm colors as much as I love working with cooler ones. I'm also really liking the somewhat "chibi but not quite" style; I haven't perfected it by any means but I like how it's developing. C: I hope you guys like it as well! ^.^
