Gaia: Legends of Equestria headcanon card game
Added 2015-08-27 18:59:47 +0000 UTCA new project I'm working on! This is a simplistic collectible card game that isn't necessarily a traditional card game. Instead, the entire idea is based around the upmost simplicity, so the general theme of the game is basically to collect and trade the cards that contain my artwork and small snippets of headcanon in them. Now, the game portion of this project: treasure hunt.
The rules of the game are simple: anyone and everyone can play if they so wish to.
-The goal of the game is to collect all 30 cards plus the 6 Rare/limited edition cards. Whomever collects ALL of these cards (one of each card) wins.
-The way you collect the cards is to either buy the "booster packs" (which will hold about 6 random cards), or trade and exchange cards between yourself and anyone else who's playing the game.
-Only up to about 6 people are able to win the game. The winners then must show me either at a convention or via photo their completed collection in order to be deemed a "winner".
-The winners of the game win an exclusive prize pack, which includes:
3-4 exclusive prints, a medallion of my own design, and a softcover of either a new artbook or the limited edition version of the headcanon book.
At the moment this is pretty much a prototype sort of thing. If the game goes over well then there will be a second "wave" of cards that will feature both my own artwork and the artwork of artists whom are interested in participating in making cards of their own. This will allow for more cards, more winners, more prizes, and overall more participants to the game.
The debut deck (30 cards plus 6 limited edition cards) is completed and the starter pack will be available for preorder in a couple of days. Here's to hoping it goes well!
