Small Delivery Ponies Paid in Pumpkins - inks
Added 2019-10-03 23:42:19 +0000 UTCMy mind ebbs towards the bucolic during this time of year, and in looking through the archives I found the very rough sketch of this image from September of last year, and decided that I wanted to ink and eventually colour it.
The scene is of the mail-delivery reixa heading home with her trade payment of pumpkins through the streets of her home city of Cydwyllan (Ced-uo-ih-lahn) during the near sunset hour where the sky is bleeding pink into purple to darker blue, and lights are just starting to be lit in the establishments and homes.
I remember the original inspiration for this was a stylized image of buildings separated by trees stacked in 'layers' as they became more distant, as if they were atop higher hills. It was incredibly effective given it was just this simple animated gif of leaves falling and lit windows. This will be much the same, inked linework with colours, so we'll see how it works out.
The next patron sketch notification will go out mid October. It will technically be the one that was supposed to be done for August (I'm always a month ahead) but had to put it off from last month's family health madness.
