State of the Patreon (10/17/24)

Howdy Patrons:

Before I get into what’s upcoming at Mavrip, I want to take a second to acknowledge our 5th anniversary!  Time flies, doesn’t it?  Since our humble beginnings in October 2019, the site has grown nearly as big as the girls we write about!  There’s been tons of change (literally, in some cases); however, one thing that hasn’t changed is your unwavering support.  If you haven’t done so--or haven’t done so recently--scroll through our content index.  There is a vast amount of weight-gain-related content and nearly everything resulted from your patronage. 

With that in mind, I’d like to doff my cap to a handful of patrons who have been with us since the very beginning:

Thank you!  We’re blessed to have gotten to know many of you over the past five years through your comments, emails, and direct messages.  Please keep it up!  Although your pledges are important for covering overhead, commissioning other artisans, and getting my wife off my back when I wake up at 5 AM to write, your feedback and discourse inspire us just as much. 

With that out of the way, let’s move on to some of the fattening seeds you’re helping sew…

Last week marked the final chapter of “The Harem on the Hill,” the Choose Your Adventure-esque weight-gain serial we launched along with the Patreon.  As I teased in the comments, you haven’t seen the last of the harem and the occupants you spent five years growing.  More details to come in a future SOTP!

As promised, we’ll be replacing THOTH with a new weight-gain serial that we will preview soon.  It will have the same Choose Your Adventure format; however, its themes and settings will be vastly different.  Here’s a clue from the great Boris Vallejo:

While only high-tiered patrons (Enabled Overeaters and Sabotaged Snackers) could vote in “The Harem on the Hill,” this time around--in the spirit of the upcoming presidential election--I want to get more people involved in the voting process!  I’m not exactly sure how that will happen just yet, but rest assured if you’re a Mavrip member your voice will be heard!

We also heard you loud and clear with the results of our AI poll.  While we’re still considering its limited use in the new serial (the format makes commissioning illustrations almost impossible), we don’t currently plan to use it in any other capacity.  Like you, we want to support living breathing artists whenever possible so that’s where Patreon proceeds will go!

Speaking of living breathing artists, I’ve written a new story!  In the US, it’s almost Halloween (spooky!), and the week after is Election Day (even spookier!), so it’s the perfect time for some horrific weight-gain fiction set in the dystopian, alien-occupied world of XCOM!  While several of my stories could be classified as horror (“The Weight Watcher” comes to mind), I don’t think I’ve ever dabbled in fan fiction before (unless you count my half-hearted tangle with Tangled).  Anyway, this little departure is set to arrive the week of Halloween!   

In addition to the above, you can also expect a fresh chapter of my other sci-fi stab, “Savanah’s Swan Song,” before the end of the month.  (Congrats to longtime patron, Adriano Ziffer, on winning our impromptu “Guess Savanah’s Weight” contest!)
