In this tutorial I explain how to use audio as a subsitute for time to animate all kinds of elements, in this video 2 examples for TOPs.
Two notes:
1) You can change the audio filter to use different frequencies.
2) Adapt the range parameters to your audio file/device to correctly map the volume.
