Episode 224 - Sailing through the Messina Strait to Vulcano Island, where we jump ship to explore!

We have a long but fantastic sail from Taormina, Sicily through the Messina Strait and sail through the night to arrive in Vulcano, where we continue the adventure with all the bubbly water and under water springs and exploring the Vulcano Island, It's so beautiful, hope you enjoy the fun!

2024-12-01 09:50:19 +0000 UTCit is indeed. there is a rain forest (El Yunque) that you can walk through and near the center is an awesome waterfall you can swim under (unfortunately, its very popular and usually full of others.) the beaches are awesome and the food i something out of this world. I definitely would recommend spending time in Old San Juan for a bit for some of the culture. I would also visit the fort in San Juan, El Castillo San Felipe del Morro (or simply El Morro). It was used by United States in WW1, but predates it by many centuries. Heck, there is even a Scooby-Doo episode with it in it. Just driving around the coast line is also an amazing time. Also, if you want to be adventurous at night, there is an amazing display of bio-luminescent waters in Vieques, PR. there are two more areas, but this is the most famous one. I highly recommend going there at least once in your life. Since its part of America, they do use the American Dollar, just as a heads up, and most people speak Spanish, but almost all do understand English to a degree (its second official language). And yes, I am puerto rican, and i love my island a lot, and love talking about it.

2024-11-28 03:01:35 +0000 UTCOh I didn’t find the ring, it was my silver ring but it turned it gold colour in the sulphur rich sea water 😅 the gold came off easily enough though with a bit of a scrub 👍 It was a very cool place to hangout for a few days, but the mud bath was scary hot! Thank god I checked it before we jumped in! Turned out the main entrance was closed and guarded because the volcanic activity had increased and this mud bath had got to hot so people weren’t allowed in, but because we had come up the sea side we didn’t know as there wasn’t any signs or anything! Crazy hey! Beautiful place though 👍

Looked like beautiful place spend sometime. Would of loved to been in the 40C natural hot tub, you and Bear swam in of this lovely video off of Vulcano Island and the Messina Strait of Italy.
