Episode 222 - Hour Special! Noisy Italian BoatYard, Engine Service and Horrifying Bodged Repairs!
Added 2024-11-11 17:49:16 +0000 UTCWe are stuck in this Italian boat yard in Crotone for 3 weeks!!! it was meant to be 10 days to get the repairs done, for all those scratches and cracks caused from the big boat which dragged onto us last year! Every job which we were promised was delayed and then when they did carry out the work it was a complete bodge job by lads who didn't have a clue what they were doing! It was probably one of the most frustrating few weeks of our lives, especially for Chris who had continuous arguments with the boatyard boss and the lads who worked for him. In the end the work was so bad we had to cut our loses and get lifted back in to either go somewhere else to redo the work or do it all again our selves at the end of the year?!! We have lost thousands and it will cost us thousands to put it right! It is a very roller coast ride type of episode and very noisy boatyard, sorry in advance! Tune in over the next few weeks and you'll see the actually horrific damage they have caused to Pickle! Shocking!!

It's tough on the trust part, when you are at place you have no trusting connections which is hard when traveling at new ports etc.

Beau did such a great job cleaning off the North Africa dust. Loved seeing the joy and smiles that was shown as Pickle and crew left the marine at Crotone. As always, I enjoyed your video.
