Episode 72 - We run out of water and explore isolated caves!
Added 2022-02-28 08:14:31 +0000 UTCWhat a week! We've run out of water and gone thirsty until we find a teeny tiny marina which allow us to go onto their fuel pontoon to buy some water! We spend days hanging around for a complete lunatic man, who strings me along, never leaves me alone, but never shows up either!!! Complete weirdo and time waster!!! And finally we sail on to discover beautiful isolated caves, which we loiter outside to swim in and then sail on in fine light winds to another gorgeous anchorage, come along and enjoy all the fun!

We have two heads (small bathrooms) on the boat with hot showers which are great but as we don’t have a water maker yet we are always trying to conserve water so a lot of the time we actually wash off the back of the boat with salt water, believe it or not it’s absolutely fine 😃👍 I saw another sailing YouTuber do it and I’m definitely a convert 😜

It's the only way too fully enjoy a good swim. You're making memories for the entire family, too bad you tube makes you censor so much, a lot of those memories will be covered over. Chris, wear sandals, they're easier on the feet than hot ground.

If your a patreon you're top priority, so I'll definitely respond if I see it 👍 It is always lots of fun for the kids swimming and splashing around having fun in the sea, I do think the torch was a bit scary too though 😂

Glad you got a wonderful sail in this video. It was wonderful to see how much Bear & Beau enjoy swims despite the jelly fish. Liked the use of the flash light in the darkened waters. Fun most of the time & hopefully not scary. I know Bear really enjoys the bare swims in those warm waters as do the rest of you.❤️❤️👍

2022-02-28 17:40:20 +0000 UTCIt is amazing to watch how much your little family is growing in confidence and competence. My family have been locked down with closed borders for two years now. We have bitten the bullet, and booked a trip for my son and myself to the South Island of NZ on April. We will be freedom camping for two weeks. Not quite of the Pickle scale, but an achievement for us. There are so many factors that could interrupt our plans, but you guys have taught us that these challenges can be overcome with a bit of pluck and a lot of patience! Keep living your dreams.
