I’m taking piano lessons again, since last summer. Nearly starting over. But here’s the question: What about pretty music? Beautiful songs? Like “The Part Where You Let Go,” by Hem? Or just about anything by Joni Mitchell? Tin Pan Alley? American musical theatre? I struggle to like the music you and your friends play. It’s a language I apparently don’t speak. How do I broaden my horizons?
