Today we take a look at Aquaria's recent voice tweets about this phenomena and how she is redefining what she, the franchise, and Sharon Needles all once referred to as a "Drag Mother/Daughter" relationship.

I don't think it's "business over friendship". Friendships evolve, relationships aren't static, and people (or your perception of people) change. Sharon's part of Aquaria's origin story (historical fact) but she doesn't want that association today (current fact). Does friendship preclude her from making that decision, whatever the reason?

However it seems that her swift change in language re:Sharon came about only after the public allegations of this particular incident, as well as it becoming public knowledge that Sharon was a prolific user of racial slurs and dressed in nazi regalia before. I understand her move to distance herself from the burned brand of Sharon but let’s call it what it is….. business over friendship. Clearly if anything, they were great friends with no falling out just a public turning of opinion with new information.

Hopefully for Aquaria, it really was as innocuous as her mentor referring to them as a mother and daughter. Her response to people trying to drag her into this drama is totally correct.
