YESSS. His full name is Klein Sieben which is German for 'little seven'. Also, fun fact, Jacques Schnee's premarital surname was confirmed to be Gelè (French for 'frost') making him Jack Frost.

My read was that Jaune still has Impostor Syndrome, especially following Pyrrha revealing her feelings for him and then dying before he really had a chance to process that. I think Jaune, by this point, has resolved himself toward becoming the person he thinks is worthy of Pyrrha and I think his behaviours and actions in the next few volumes back that up.
