2025-01-14 14:29:42 +0000 UTCSo glad you guys watched this show. The finale is one of the best TV finales ever, in my opinion. I hope you guys react to The Legend of Korra one day. The first two seasons were good but not as great as Avatar. Seasons 3-4 are on par with anything Avatar did, and season 3 might just be the best season of both shows. As Blitz0 mentioned, Zuko's mom is explained in the novels. In case you guys or anyone else were wondering, I'll explain very briefly what happened, so don't read further if you don't want spoilers for the novels. After being banished by Ozai, she went to a person named The Mother Of Faces. The Mother of Faces wiped Ursa's mind and altered her appearance so the Fire Nation couldn't find her. After a long search, eventually Zuko found her and had her memories put back. Ursa stayed in her new village after because she had another kid while her memories were gone.So she stayed to be the mother she could never be to Zuko and Azula. That's skipping a ton of detail, but that's the gist of it. The books are really good, especially the Kyoshi and Yang Chin novels. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants more Avatar.

Zuko’s character was handled especially well, and honestly is for probably one of the best examples of a redemption arc in fiction, if not the actual best lol. My favorite character will always be Toph tho, just personal preference ;) btw if you ever do decide to watch Legend of Korra, you should know that they had like, a TON of production issues that unfortunately messed with a decent amount of the writing. That being said, LoK definitely has moments in it that rival ATLA. Plus, with it being a show aimed at young teens rather than straight up kids they can… let’s just say, get away with talking about and showing more as well. And ofc the animation is definitely improved, being a newer show and all lol. You may not watch it for the channel but maybe on your own time? Either way thank you guys for sharing your experience with us, it was a fun ride 💜

Kind of poetic justice that he tortures his 13 year old son with firebending and then has it removed by a 12 year old boy. Great reaction as usual. Will you be watching Legend of Korra sometime in the future?

2025-01-12 07:13:22 +0000 UTCits finally over ! been fun revisiting this, cant believe its already been 14~ months or whatever since you started. looking forward to archer ! fyi the line about zuko's mother is apparently explored in a graphic novel continuation series, i've never read them. Legend of Korra is *technically* a sequel show but generally speaking it's its own thing. Good but not Must See imo.
