One of their biggest things is they don’t believe in using medicine. The best thing about Christian Science is that it killed both Maynard James Keenan’s mother and James Hetfield’s mother…both when they were young enough to get pissed off and find solace in heavy metal. So, if not for Christian Scientists, we may not have Tool or Metallica.

It’s a weird little American offshoot of Christianity that has some very distinct beliefs. I feel like there’s not many of them anymore, but back in the 80’s and 90’s there might have been a million Christian Scientists. I even had a couple “Christian Science Reading Room” locations in my fairly small suburb when I was younger.

2024-11-02 14:14:55 +0000 UTClooks like australian benadryl is a combo of DXM (dextromethorphan/cough syrup) and diphenhydramine. in the US it just refers to the latter ingredient. comes in little pink tablets, mainly for allergies, some people like me take it habitually as a sleep aid. which isn't good, long term it can lead to dementia so i try to limit it nowadays. it just works so well, i take 2 guaranteed 7-8 hour sleep
