It merely nods to the movie but it has a lot more to offer (more fleshed out characters, talented cast, and crazy cameos ok I'll stop now before I spoil anything)

It took me three tries to get past season 1 because I was hardheaded and didn't just listen to my friend who said to start with season 2. Now I own Parks & Rec memorabilia, so that speaks to the quality that it does eventually reach.

2024-04-29 15:00:28 +0000 UTCjust my own personal takes below. 30 Rock - i saw the first couple seasons, never really clicked for me. I personally find it overrated. But may be worth a shot. Archer - I LOVE the first few seasons. After a while for me it got tedious and lost it's groove but it's a very funny show. Barry - VERY good show. Would love to see your reactions to it. My only concern is if you both watched a few eps, why did you stop? Was it for the channel, just got too busy, or wasn't really enjoying it? Bojack - Not for everyone. Has some very good storytelling at times, with some darker themes for an animated show. Worth checking out to see if it draws you in. Curb - Haven't seen it. Won't opine. Parks & Rec - IMO this is one of the hardest shows for people to get into because the first season isn't very good outside a few moments. You can tell they were just struggling to figure out what to do. In season two it is still not great until the later episodes and then picks up. Seasons 3+ are fantastic though. What We Do In the Shadows - haven't seen anything, but the fact you saw the movie and didn't enjoy it is big flag, lol.

2024-04-29 13:03:55 +0000 UTCYESSSSS BARRY and CURB are both great choices. Barry so underrated tho. Only 8 eps a season and 4 seasons. Edit: suggestion. Curb is quite long running. Perhaps curb replaces Sunny, and Barry replaces Avatar?
