I’m really excited for you guys to get to season two. There’s a certain character and I’m sure people who have seen the show know who I’m talking about . But I can’t wait to see your reaction to them I think you’re going to really like them.

The movie ruins absolutely nothing about season 2 or 3, the show has a few characters in the fire nation that don't really get shown/fleshed out in the animated show until later. But not while it introduces and names those characters, it doesn't really spoil much. For instance Azula, the sister you saw at the end of this episode has a few scenes where she is training for her role next season.
The movie is one of the most rage inducing things I've ever watched. The show is better than most people say - but it's not the original they're nostalgic for.

also that little sound you commented on is momo's signature "song" variations of it have played when momo is a focus since his first appearance. it's his little theme song and i believe he's the only character that has his own theme

one of the many things i love about the show is that each episode builds towards something. even if it seems insignificant, there's meaning to each episode and story. like the comment above says, there's not a single episode i'd remove in hindsight. to me, this finale made the build up we've had thus far worth it. we've seen growth of characters and have reason to root for, or against, them. it feels like book 1 is almost a prelude, and that the story is just beginning. i am so excited for what's to come in book 2. it's my favorite!

I think only one or two episodes in Season 1 are complete filler, but a lot of the other episodes can be trimmed down a whole bunch if you only want the important plot point/world building/character development stuff. Though I think you'd be surprised how much of it isn't filler. As far as the movie goes, there's a couple laughable moments but its honestly just boring for the most part, and its been awhile but I don't think it spoils anything season 2 or 3.

the movie and show both tell book one. The show isn't as bad as the movie but still not good. Just a worse version of the animation condensed into 8 episodes.
btw, as far as "filler" episodes go I get wanting the plot to advance but they do help to attach you more to the characters imo. looking back on the series retrospectively I wouldn't take any of them out, personally!
