Since you guys seemed confused at the start whether they are in the fire nation or not - they are in the earth nation, but part of the earth nation has been conquered by the fire nation and settled over the 100 year war

2024-03-22 16:57:10 +0000 UTCapart from a few straggler episodes, avatar is a very purposeful show. it may not feel like much is happening but it's setting the stage for things. season 1 is about meeting the characters, hearing their backstories, etc. i think it was still also trying to find a balance between being a kids show and one everyone could enjoy. i say hold on with it til part way through season 2 and see how you feel. don't watch it if you really aren't into it but i feel like you should finish season 1 and give 2 a little chance just to see if any opinions change.

2024-03-22 11:57:02 +0000 UTCavatar! totally get the sentiment that "something" needs to happen. i think a lot of those feelings will be satisfied by the end of the season, but if not that would be a reasonable place to jump off. And if you end up making it to the halfway point of season 2 and still aren't 100% on board you SHOULD jump off imo.
