you should watch it!! i watched it back when i was like 12 when it aired but only caught a few episodes. i remember loving it though and recently have been binging it and am enjoying it even more now than i did back then lol

2024-03-14 04:02:59 +0000 UTCi don't want to spoil anything, so i'll be vague in saying: there's aspects of season 1 the creators even look back on and cringe so you're in good company with not really connecting with it in season 1. i think it was still trying to figure out it's own dynamic between being a kids show but also being for all ages to enjoy. like the comment above says it'd be a shame to finish season 1 and then stop. if you absolutely detest it then i wouldn't want you to feel forced to watch it, but i encourage you to stick with it for a bit longer and see how you feel.

2024-03-13 05:11:48 +0000 UTCYeah I almost always skip much of Season 1 on my rewatches (I first saw the show when it aired, rewatch it every couple years). The first season is good for introducing people to the world, the concept of bending, the avatar state etc, but seasons 2 and 3 are better in every other way by far. I can't really be more detailed without spoiling but it'd really suck if they did the bulk of Season 1 and stopped.
