What a classic

Maryn Levi

Great episode

Shane Jeffery

yea I would say 7 or 11 are my top two, and it really just depends on my mood which one I actually think is best, haha. It's that close

Jay Willis

Yeah season 11 is pure heat every episode. Idk how anyone could say season 7 is the peak.

Zach P

In my opinion the absolute best episode in the entire show is in season 11.

Matt D

season 7 is ABSOLUTELY not the peak like others are saying. maybe the best full season, but there are absolute gold in seasons 8-12 and a few bangers in each season afterward with more good rather than great, but still entertaining

Zach P

i agree season 7 is the peak. noticeable dropoff at season 13 for me. still has its moments and good episodes but if they wanted to go the Bill Watterson route and stop while it was still going strong season 11 or 12 would've been it

Russian Paul

I'm not saying it ever got truly bad, though the first half of the season before last really stressed me out. I'm just saying, up until 12 or 13, it's as good as any show that was ever made. I thought the last half of the last season was some of the best episodes they've made in several years. I don't know if the podcast, and going over their old stuff, helped or not, but that's my perception.

Jeremy Hurtt

i actually still like the newer episodes. some of the ones in s14-15 got big laughs out of me. they're not like the old ones, but still

Chloe Grover

Many people argue Season 7 is the best. I would say the true greatness starts in season 4 and put season 5-7 as their real "prime" but there are awesome episodes in every season.

And while we're at it, while I think season 7 is the best season, season 5 is not far behind. You're about to hit the absolute golden era of the show.

Jeremy Hurtt

I think Season 7 is the peak. Which isn't to say the show starts to goes downhill, it totally doesn't until around 12 or 13. But basically every episode in season 7 is an all-timer banger (with one very notable exception), and there is an underlying storyline involving one of the characters (and actors) that is just AMAZING.

Jeremy Hurtt

and even after that is still really good, just a little bit less consistent

Jay Willis

Instant classic, widely considered one of the best for sure and a fan favorite. So they actually went on tour with this at one point, there are some videos online. They expanded it a little and everything. The background stuff they talk about on the Podcast is great as well, worth listening to the podcast on this episode on it's own, where Lin Manuel Miranda stops by to talk about Musicals. To me the show absolute peak is probably around Season 7, but honestly from here to probably season 11 or 12 is all insanely good.
