original Twizzlers are licorice because they contain licorice extract. However pretty much the only thing you see in stores anymore is the flavored ones like Strawberry Twizzlers, which doesn't have the extract and is called a "licorice type candy". I didn't know the originals were actually licorice, figured they were just like the others (which for some odd reason I knew weren't licorice, haha).
