sorry, Men's hockey team who were able to beat the USSR team at Lake Placid. The team was made up of college kids at the time and no one gave them a chance against the professional Soviet team. The phrase "do you believe in Miracles?" was uttered by Al Michaels, a sports caster, as the time clock ticked down to a few seconds as the US team was ahead (miraculously!!)
