Good and Bad News

Hey everyone,

As you've seen, my break is over. I hope you had a great summer, and that you're looking forward to the conclusion of GGN's Book 2.

However, I have some news that are mostly bad for you, but might be good too. Long story short, I have decided to pull Good Guy Necromancer off serialization. After Book 2 is done for everyone, I will stop uploading chapters and will instead upload entire books as I finish them, edited and all.

I won't drop the series; first, because I've already signed for at least four books, and second, because I love writing it.

I understand many of you will be saddened by this change, but there are several reasons, the main being that GGN is not well-suited for serialization. It adds great stress in my life without any real benefits besides interacting with all of you.

The second reason, equally important, is that the structure of GGN and my writing style for this particular story aren't suited for serialization either. Writing chapter by chapter just lowers the quality; I want to write an entire book, make retroactive changes as good ideas come to mind and characters flesh themselves out, and then edit everything in one go. I've been writing web serials for years now and I enjoy it, despite the stress, just...not for this story.

That said, here's how things are going to go:

I'll upload chapters as normal until Book 2 is complete (in two weeks for the top tier and in October for everyone else), then stop. When I have the entire Book 3 edited and ready, I'll post it in bulk on my Patreon. Royalroad will probably be kept a book behind, though I'll finish Book 2 there too as I already started posting it. In Patreon, I will pause billing every month except for the months when I release a new book. You will be notified in time, of course.

In the meantime, I'll be working on another story that I'll start uploading on November, and I'll also post the remastered version of my previous story, the Crab Fighter, now renamed to Twelveth Cataclysm, which is slated to go Kindle in December. Each story will have a separate Patreon because maintaining them otherwise is a pain in the ass.

Again, I apologize if you were looking forward to reading this story chapter by chapter, but it just isn't working out for me. I will strive to make up by producing works of great, memorable quality, and by pushing my skills ever higher. The sky is the limit.

Thank you for your truly priceless support,
Valerios
