I had a very similar experience to Dean with this movie. I remember loving it as a kid but I showed my gf this as an adult and I never bought in to the Andrea-Bruce relationship. A lot of the other stuff I give a pass to(the tonal shift with The Joker, Phantasm’s inconsistent abilities) but narratively, I don’t see Bruce giving up being Batman for this woman, especially when I didn’t buy their initial relationship.
