2023-02-18 12:34:58 +0000 UTCWhen there was EXO-K and EXO-M, each group had a vocal-range counterpart, so both groups would sound very similar. Below, are the members of each group and their vocal/rap counterparts. In EXO-M things had to be shifted a bit because some songs needed more vocal projection to match more closely with EXO-K. So, Chen had to pick up parts that were sung by different members in EXO-K. EXO-K/EXO-M Baekhyun/Chen D.O./LuHan+Chen Suho/Xuimin Kai/Lay Chanyeol/Kris Sehun/Tao The song "First Snow" is more in line with Korean society, rather than being a Christmas song, per se. Koreans generally look forward to the first day of snow more so than Christmas because Korean's have practiced Asian religions much longer, (i.e., Confucianism and Buddhism) I think the timing of freezing weather between S. Korea and the U.S. is similar enough to combine the seasonal songs, which is why you have the song First Snow on the same album with songs about the Christmas season. Fun Fact: Every year since EXO released the song in 2013, it climbs up the charts when it's close to the first day of snow in Korea. Last year, First Snow was ranked once again the highest B-side boy-group song on December, 26th. A good decade-long tradition. :)
