Hey all, to keep the updates going: I have a video pretty much ready to record on rule of law and how it compares in the US and China.

But something's been bugging me. I keep running across arguments - even by respected intellectuals - that I consider low quality and even disingenuous. A couple bad habits have been bothering me, but the one that stands out the most is when people bend the definitions of terms in order to make their arguments appear stronger.

It occurred to me that before I do anything else, I should make a first principles type of video on argumentation (what makes for a good argument and what doesn't), so I'm going to explore that for a bit and see where it goes.

Basically expect a little delay, then probably this argumentation video, then probably the rule of law video shortly after.

I'm trying to hold myself to a schedule while also keeping an open mind about what subjects to pursue, and in what order. So take my announced intentions on here with a grain of salt. I try to stick to them but will pivot (or spend longer producing a video than initially planned) if I think it's for the best.
