Nah it’s in the manga, the studio made it filler, it’s right after Naruto and basically a prologue into shippudden. It’s gives Kakashi’s whole backstory and sets up the last arc of the whole anime, they’ll be lost without it down the line. It is a must watch and easily a highlight of the series and will actually get Jei more interested again most likely, the yellow flash alone will get them more excited again.

2023-02-15 04:44:10 +0000 UTCkakashi gaiden arc is filler. its not canon to the manga. honestly this last arc of was canon and it still felt like filler. i recommend just skipping that kakshi gaiden before jei loses his mind anymore cause any detours from the main story will just be a waste.

Hopefully we go with the cut down version to make the experience even better :)
