I feel the same but the fact that the guys are being invited to these premieres now makes up for that imo.. We still have the rest of the episodes for first time reactions π

When he was outside the door before being all hard on the that guy at the computer, he was bracing himself, but he at least got time by himself to do that before going in and doing his job. But with the speech, he can't exactly get that being around others 24/7 like that. And given how he even showed up with the force, and how rare that seems to be for him, it shows he just isn't even that experienced at translating his "hard-ass" routine from the people at the desk to people getting ready to fight. Either way, I think its way too early to say "this isn't how a character should be moving" a couple episodes in. Even if those other scenes don't support why the officer moved the way he did in the speech, that scene in of itself establishes how he is. Basically a uptight nerd type. 100% gonna be a savage in the future.
