My Car Accident (In Depth)

First: thank you for your well wishes, I appreciate you all!

At 9:52am today, Sept 23, 2021: My bf and I were on our way to Fort Lauderdale and it was a straight shot for almost 200 miles, we were safe, we were calm, we were content. We were in traffic going like 40mph but stopping alot and a truck came trying to merge between all 4 lanes and do a u-turn to get outta traffic (Florida shit ofc) going 70mph and hit us. truck driver and the truck came out with barely a scratch. According to the cops: he admitted to being inebriated and said he wanted to go to the other side of the highway and head home due to traffic and that's why he cut through recklessly. Ofc he had no insurance.

My bf and I hit the buick in front of us and rolled over it upside down before falling off. The buick hit another truck in front of it. My car was totaled, but I thank God we made it out alive.

I did have my seatbelt on but somehow the diagonal part got cut and I flew out the car and skidded on the pavement so badly that my torso is covered in road rash, with some cuts and such from the class, my head and palms got cut up too. The force of the seatbelt's horizontal part crushed my abdomen and caused internal bleeding and bruising and while that was handled during the first surgery, my spleen is damaged and so my splenectomy (surgery to remove my spleen) is scheduled for almost 2hrs from now.

Bf was in the car and is okay, he just got hit bad by the airbag and he has a concussion, he came out with a couple of bruises and glass cuts but not nearly as bad. Other drivers were okay, minimal damage to them, but the buick's car is also totalled.

Again, thank you for the well wishes and sorry it took so long to notify everyone, I've been under general anesthesia and on morphine so I've been in and out typing this so slowly in my notes. I love you all.

I will be okay. I will post pictures tomorrow, I'm hoping I get pics of the damage if the cops or my BF took any. I will also be posting pictures of my body (minus my face bc I'd like to not doxx myself). My tattoos will all be visible so you guys will know that it is indeed me.

My car is totaled and while I will be taking him to court, I need a car in the meantime. It's how I work and how I travel to babysit. I'll also have to pay for 60% of my hospital bill AND for the ambulance once the bill comes in the mail.
