New Stuff to Share!
Added 2024-09-13 03:44:27 +0000 UTCWell, this is a lot later than I had intended. As seems to be usual for my life, various problems, obstacles and issues got in the way of me getting this posted when I had planned. But I got here in the end.
I also want to remind everyone that as I said in my previous post, there will not be monthly updates after this. I will post new dropbox links at the start of every month, but new stuff will now be posted throughout the month as and when they are finished.
So, onto what I have to share right now, and I actually have a variety of things.
First off, I have a couple of new pics, which were the first things I drew when I resumed art again last month after my broken finger had recovered enough. There's a rubber drone pic and one with a fox and badger involving hypno visors. I hope you like them.
And then there's some new writing. Some of you may remember my failed attempt to do a hypnovember thing last year with my own prompts, and I only managed 7 short stories in the end. Well, I have still been trying to get more of them done here and there since then and finally have some more finished to share. I think I might see if I can have all 30 done before november and post them elsewhere during that month. I have 8 to 11 finished now. Only 19 more to go.
And finally for you all, something a bit different. A game demo!
What happened was that while I was dealing with a broken finger over the past couple of months, my art block finally started to pass, but I couldn't draw because I couldn't comfortably hold the pen of my graphics tablet with the injury. But I could click a mouse button, click on pixels, and so I decided to try doing some pixel art. Which was an interesting challenge.
But then my brain took it a step further. Why not make pixel art for a bigger project? You see, years and years ago, I had bought RPG Maker for cheap in some steam sale, but for one reason or another, never really did much with it, but thought that I could if I ever got into pixel art. An idea for an RPG game came to me, so I ran with it.
It's not a full game. A full game of what I had in mind would take a lot of time, so I went for a short demo/proof of concept thing instead, to test the waters. The character sprites and map tilesets were all made by me, and it took some figuring out to get the game to do what I wanted it to do. But it kept me busy while my finger was healing.
Will I develop it into a full game? Maybe, if there's interest. You all get to try it firtst, and in a month's time, I will likely share it beyond my Patreon. If enough people like it, I would consider doing more. I certainly have plenty of ideas for it.
But for now, I hope you try and enjoy this demo of 'Rule the World', featuring a supervillian, a superhero, and some mind control. If you do like it and would like to see me do more, be sure to let me know.

Love how this game already looks and plays. Don't know what is doable in RPG creator, but of course needs a few sexy scenes and possibly a slave drone conversion scene.
