Pausing My Patreon Again
Added 2023-07-27 17:33:38 +0000 UTCI didn't want to have to do this again, but I'm going to be pausing my Patreon for next month, possibly the month after as well, depending on how things go.
Basically, this is a result of life apparently not wanting to give me a break for even one damned month. Earlier this month, my grandmother passed away. Although we weren't close, I hadn't seen her in many years (she lived in an other country), it was still very sad. Plus, it triggered a lot of painful memories of losing my mother, resulting in some very emotional times. And then as I was getting over that, I hit a period of sleep issues and bad depression, which made for more misery.
As a result of all these problems, progress on art has slowed to a crawl. I have been finding it more and more difficult to work on anything for very long before breaking down, which was extremely frustrating. And with the end of the month drawing closer, I started feeling more and more stressed out trying to get stuff done to share with you all and get stuff done that I still owe people. Which in turn made working on stuff more difficult, causing even more stress and frustration. It got so bad I think I came a little close to my mental breaking point.
And so, for the sake of my mental health, I need to take a break from the Patreon stuff, hence the pause. I will still be working on stuff where I can, but it will be exclusively on stuff I owe people, as I try to use this break to catch up. And I hope all of you I owe things to will be patient and understanding as I take longer than I thought.
So, to sum up, my Patreon will be paused next month. None of my Patrons will be charged and there will be no new stuff for August. I hope to be back in September, but if I need a little more time to pull myself together and get caught up, I might pause for a second month as well. We'll see how it goes, and I'll keep you all updated.
